GIS data

We have a list of GIS data in shape files, such as point and polygon layers of Important Bird Areas and distribution of some rare and endangered species in Mongolia. You can also find links that will guide you to sources containing some very useful data sets.

Our main goal is to facilitate Mongolian biologists and researchers and educators to obtain helpful GIS and other types of data because knowledge of foreign languages is a big problem for many of them.

The list is updated and maintained mostly by volunteers from various organizations, universities, and countries. Any contribution you can make will be most welcome and will be greatly appreciated.
