MN035 - Khovsgol Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Mongolia, supports large congregations of waterbirds.

MN036 - Bulgan Tal is home to an important breeding population of the globally threatened Great Bustard Otis tarda.

MN044 - Erdenesant Mountains supports the largest breeding population of Cinereous Vulture Aegypius monachus in east Asia.

MN052 - Khustain Nuruu National Park is home to one of three reintroduced populations of Takhi or Przewalski's Horse Equus przewalskii. This emphasises the significance of IBAs for biodiversity other than birds.
