MN064 - Turgen Tsagaan, Zegst, Tuulaitiyn Burd Lakes is one of the few locations in Mongolia where the critically endangered Siberian Crane Grus leucogeranus can be found.

MN055 - Khan Khentii SPA is characteristic of the boreal forests biome, and supports a rich diversity of plant and animal life.

MN058 - Valleys of Khurkh-Khuiten Rivers are home to globally crane species, such as White-naped Crane Grus vipio and Hooded Crane G. monacha.

MN065 - Ugtam Nature Reserve supports forest and grassland habitats, and is home to the rapidly declining Tarbagan Marmot Marmota sibirica.
